The Farnsworth house was designed to be a vacation retreat for Etith Farnsworth . It is a floating steel box wrapped on all sides with glass with an attached floating terrace. Inside is a sleeping area, living area, dining area, kitchen, two bathrooms, and a mechanical/storage closet.
